Raha Javanfar

RAHA JAVANFAR is a Toronto based singer/songwriter that has performed at venues across Ontario, most recently Indie In Erie II and not in london at O'Grady's. She is currently in her fourth year of studies at the Ryerson Theatre
School’s Technical Theatre Program. An accomplished composer and
musician Raha has scored the short film Home by The Curiosity Shop
Motion Picture Company, Leaving Song by not in London Productions and
Saint Nicholas Hotel The Ryerson Theatre School. As a musician she has
performed with such Canadian Indie acts as Peter Katz, Sleep the Season,
Sweet Thing and Fifty-Fifty. She is currently in the process of
recording a solo album which will be released this summer. On stage and
behind the camera Raha’s directing credits include co-directing the 2004
production of The Next Best Thing (Michael Reinhart), assistant directing The
Saint Nicholas Hotel
(James Reaney) under Kelly McIntosh and assistant
directing the Ryerson Theatre Period Study under Peter Wylde. Recent
acting credits include Naseem – Three Worlds Apart, The Curiosity Shop
Motion Picture Company, Lisa – The Next Best Thing and Steph –
Fractions (Michael Reinhart). Technical credits include Technical Direction of
The Next Best Thing (2004) Stage Manager / Co-Producer of Leaving
Song
(2005). Ontop of her musical commitments this summer, Raha is
stage managing Huffing Lysol (Aviva Zimmerman) for the 2006 Fringe of
Toronto Theatre Festival and MY FEVER a short film/music video directed by Raha is being distributed a number of local competitions.
